Our taste philosophy >>

Victoire Finaz, founder of Abanico, has always had a passion for chocolate. As the great grand daughter of a chocolatier, she has valued the tasting and savouring of chocolate from a very young age.

 Victoire’s fascination with chocolate and its creation led her to explore the renowned Salon du Chocolat in Paris at the tender age of 19. It was at these salons, surrounded by the finest chocolatiers, where she discovered her interest for artisan chocolate.

 From then on, Victoire was dedicated to exploring new tastes and to discovering more about chocolate; from the chocolatiers in Paris to the cacao plantations around the equator. It was in wanting to share this new way of enjoying chocolate that she created Abanico in 2009.

 

Thanks to Victoire’s creative vision and with the collaboration of one of the finest French chocolatiers, Abanico has developed a range of chocolate using original recipes to awaken the senses for a unique tasting experience

In addition to it’s superb tasting chocolate Abanico is renowned for it’s distinctive fan shaped packaging for which it was awarded Silver for design in the 2010 Pentawards beating three global confectionery companies. In this same year, the chocolate loving readers of Les Echos gave Abanico the award for Best Design.
